Nana

You never looked more peaceful
Than when you lay upon that bed
You looked like you were sleeping
It was hard to believe that you were dead

Theres never been a harder day
than the day we said goodbye
Just saying your name or thinking of you
brings tears to my eyes

I still listen to your voice in my head
As im scared that I`ll forget
We didnt make it on time before you went
And this I will always regret

It makes me sad to pass your home
knowing its no longer yours
I cant help whenever I drive by
looking up at the eighth floor

I hope you`re watching over the family
I hope you`re proud of the things we do
You`re forever in my thoughts and my heart
Nana I`ll always miss you xx

I hope we all make you proud and im sorry if I wasnt there when you needed me to be. We all think of you all the time and cant help but laugh when we talk about the time you shaved you`re eyebrow off haha or how you spelt quiche as quish.
I`ll always miss you and i`ll keep visiting every month and I hope you`ll keep popping up in my dreams now and again.

Lots of Love
forever and always

Footprints

One night I had a dream--
I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord
and across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints,
one belonged to me and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that many times along the path of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest
and saddest times in my life.
This really bothered me and I questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you would walk with me all the way,
but I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life
there is only one set of footprints.
"I don't understand why in times when I needed you most,
you should leave me."
The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child,
I love you and I would never, never leave you
during your times of trial and suffering.
"When you saw only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."
